Flower Water
Called maa zaher in Arabic, orange blossom water has long perfumed Levantine sweets, from ma'amoul and ka'ak at Eid to the syrup poured over knafeh. Its bright, sweet citrus-floral aroma also lifts muhallabia, qatayef, rice pudding and lemonade. Use a few drops at a time, as its scent is strong and a little goes a long way.
